FOSTER YOUTH AND ADOPTION AGENCY MOUNTAIN CIRCLE FAMILY SERVICES, INC. CELEBRATES 35 YEARS WITH NEW NAME, SAME COMMUNITY FOCUS
CHICO, CA (December 11, 2020) — Sierra Nevada Connections announces its new name and fresh new branding, transitioning from decades-long Mountain Circle Family Service, Inc. Founded in 1986, the organization has supported more than 3,500 children and families in their journey to a healthier future.
The organization’s mission is to help navigate the fostering and adoption journey with solution-focused resources and a nurturing, progressive approach to supporting families throughout the Sierra Nevada region. With offices in Chico, California, and Reno, Nevada, Sierra Nevada Connections continues its commitment to ensuring stability and life-sustaining changes for foster and adoptive children.
“Our name change to Sierra Nevada Connections is exciting for us. I feel it embraces and defines the many regions served within the Sierra Nevada area. Now is the ideal time for us to expand our geographic reach while opening our doors and hearts to even more children and families in need,” said Dr. Shauna Rossington, executive director, Sierra Nevada Connections. “We believe families of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities have the same beautiful gifts to offer a child. Quite simply, we strive to be a bridge, not a wall, to those that need us most. We welcome everyone and work together with families to create situations where both the family and child flourish.”
Sierra Nevada Connections’ mission is to serve the greater community by placing all children in need regardless of ethnicity, age, special needs, or unique circumstances into loving foster and adoptive homes. Families working with Sierra Nevada Connections positively transform children and young people’s lives by providing a safe and loving home environment where children can grow, flourish, and reach their highest potential.
Led and managed by a team of highly experienced, compassionate, and qualified professionals, Sierra Nevada Connections takes pride in helping foster and adoptive families find the perfect and enduring match.
“Our new name and fresh website are an important part of our evolution and growth in the Sierra Nevada region. The Sierra Nevada Connection’s Reno office is delighted to begin 2021 with a modern look and renewed optimism. Together, we thrive by supporting each other in a positive and healthy environment while placing children and youth in safe, nurturing foster and adoptive families,” added Alicia Arnold, chief operations officer, and clinical director, Sierra Nevada Connections, Reno office.
